New Review! Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas

Sugar Daddy (Travises, #1) by Lisa Kleypas

While I have adored Lisa Kleypas‘s historical romances, Sugar Daddy was my first of her contemporary romances. Unfortunately I didn’t develop a connection with the main romance in this book. I did like the parts that were a coming of age story and the writing was beautiful as always, but I did not care for either the hero or the heroine.

New Review! The Worst Best Man by Mia Sosa

The Worst Best Man by Mia Sosa

I am so glad I read this book; I loved Lina and her friends and family that helped shape the woman she was. Max was sweet and attentive to Lina and had a desire to learn more about her. Their love was worth working for and it was fun reading about them navigate the obstacles to get there.

New Review! The Dare by Harley LaRoux

The Dare by Harley LaRoux

A short and sexy erotic story with lots of taboo boundaries pushed, The Dare is the story of Jess, former head cheerleader, and Manson, the goth kid who she used to bully. When he dares her to be his for a night, Jess enjoys submitting to his punishments. A Halloween party setting gave this book an overall spooky and sexy appeal.

New Review! Scandal Takes the Stage by Eva Leigh

Scandal Takes the Stage (The Wicked Quills of London, #2) by Eva Leigh

Margaret Delamere is a well known playwright and Cameron, Viscount Marwood is a big fan of the theater. I loved how Cam was enchanted by Maggie and extremely supportive about her life’s passion. To see a man so enthralled with a woman for her skill and talent was very special.

New Review! The Rakess by Scarlett Peckham

The Rakess (Society of Sirens, #1) by Scarlett Peckham

This feminist take on an old-school romance trope features Seraphina, a woman outcast by society who loves to indulge in sex and alcohol. Her personality was a bit too toxic for me to fall in love but the writing was wonderful and the sex was hot.
