Laurie experiences the shock of her life when her long term boyfriend breaks up with her and promptly moves on with another woman. Jamie needs to improve his reputation as the office lothario. The two hatch a plan to enter in a fake relationship but end up learning a lot about themselves and each other in the process.
This book was so cute – a lovable heroine with 50’s pin up style who learns a lot of about life and love during a summer in a California beach town.
Annie is obsessed with rom-com’s, gets the chance to work on the set of a real movie, and catches the eye of the handsome and snarky leading man. Yet she can’t stop comparing her life to rom-com Tom. Can she be happy with real-life Drew?
While I loved the journey and personal growth that our heroine, Calla, achieved during this book, the hero, Jonah, was rough and rude and it took him too long to soften up.
It turns out I should have had no judgements about this book. The description didn’t do it for me but I ended up loving this book. Read my full review here.
