Hefty by Jessa Kane

Although I usually don’t read high school romances, I really enjoyed this sexy read from Jessa Kane, featuring two friends, a cheerleader and a football player, who had been harboring secret feelings for each other.

New Review! Credence by Penelope Douglas

Credence by Penelope Douglas

This intense and super passionate book took me a few days to finish. Lots of trigger warnings for this book including suicide, child abuse and grooming; but these elements of the story helped shape Tiernan and her happy ending is hard earned.

Penelope Douglas’s writing is very engrossing and I am eager to read more from her.

New Review! The Dare by Harley LaRoux

The Dare by Harley LaRoux

A short and sexy erotic story with lots of taboo boundaries pushed, The Dare is the story of Jess, former head cheerleader, and Manson, the goth kid who she used to bully. New Review! The Rakess by Scarlett Peckham

The Rakess (Society of Sirens, #1) by Scarlett Peckham

This feminist take on an old-school romance trope features Seraphina, a woman outcast by society who loves to indulge in sex and alcohol. Her personality was a bit too toxic for me to fall in love but the writing was wonderful and the sex was hot.

This brutal romance about a young sheltered daughter of a mobster and the love triangle she is forced into when a Senator blackmails her father into giving away her hand in marriage was a tough read. The compelling story kept me invested in their outcomes but it was a harrowing journey to get there.
