Like other Colleen Hoover books, Verity was complex and stuck with me . Unlike her other books, this book was also terrifying and haunting.
This completely eerie and heartbreaking book took a little bit to get into, but once I was in, I couldn’t put it down.

Christina’s Lauren’s beautiful writing make My Favorite Half-Night Stand an enjoyable read, despite a heroine who is catfishing her best friend.
The first book in her Ashers & Embers series, Storm is about a woman who gets trapped in a snowstorm and the sexy and troubled rockstar who comes to her rescue. There was a lot that I shouldn’t have loved about this book, but it was too good not to.
A love story between two people with horrible pasts who are working hard to right the wrongs of the past and set themselves up for a promising future. I had trouble relating to this heroine but ultimately saw how she was perfect for the hero.
This book was complicated and beautiful and I really loved the emotional journey it takes its reader on.
What a great year of reading!
I dove into Reese Witherspoon’s December book club pick, Conviction by Denise Mina.
I stayed up all night to read this novella, the first in Cole’s Immortals After Dark Series. This paranormal romance about a warlord vampire and his Bride that blooded him was a fascinating introduction to this world.
