A Gilded Age set romance featuring a deaf reclusive inventor and the quiet daughter of a penniless peer who is desperately trying to avoid an arranged marriage with a much older and frightening man. I loved this beautiful book and finished it in one sitting.
Jess believes she has to hide her true identity to gain the attention, and hopefully financial backing, of society’s most powerful people. When she catches the Duke’s eye, and eventually his heart, her lie becomes bigger than herself.
Although there are some ethical questions raised about lying to the one you love, I did really enjoy the second book in Eva Leigh’s The Union of the Rakes series.
Although I usually don’t read high school romances, I really enjoyed this sexy read from Jessa Kane, featuring two friends, a cheerleader and a football player, who had been harboring secret feelings for each other.
A new favorite book from a wonderful author, I absolutely loved the first book in the Sins for All Seasons series by Lorraine Heath. This tale of revenge with a love triangle and intrigue was so captivating and heart felt.
I really enjoyed this short but hot story about a young woman who goes to intern for her sexy stepbrothers. She soon realizes her stepbrothers will gladly put her to work, and she is eager to please.
This book about two women who are employed by a generous Lady and can’t keep their eyes off each other is so delightful. It is sweet and steamy with some adventure and intrigue. My only complaint was it was too short because I wanted more of Molly and Alice.
This title totally suits this book – it is breezy and fun to read but also deep and emotional and romantic. A second chance romance for two authors who are sharing a summer in adjacent beach houses and working to fight off their writer’s blocks.
A funny and adventurous road trip love story by one of my favorite historical romance authors, Sarah MacLean. I am excited to start this series by her.
I am so glad I read this book; I loved Lina and her friends and family that helped shape the woman she was. Max was sweet and attentive to Lina and had a desire to learn more about her. Their love was worth working for and it was fun reading about them navigate the obstacles to get there.
Margaret Delamere is a well known playwright and Cameron, Viscount Marwood is a big fan of the theater. I loved how Cam was enchanted by Maggie and extremely supportive about her life’s passion. To see a man so enthralled with a woman for her skill and talent was very special.
