This book was so cute – a lovable heroine with 50’s pin up style who learns a lot of about life and love during a summer in a California beach town.
This book was high tension and at times super sad. Relationship status: It’s complicated. My feelings on this book: also very complicated.
A modern love story that begins online but plays out in the real world of business deals and complicated relationships. I was so intrigued by these characters and really enjoyed this quick read.
I was really into the great plot and the characters were enjoyable, but I kind of hated listening to the audiobook of Christina Lauren’s Dating You / Hating You for one big distracting reason.
An amazing follow up book to her first novel, The Love Quotient, Helen Hoang passes The Bride Test with an above average score.
“Meeting his eyes, she said, “Thank you for driving me. And about the looking…” Her lips curved into a smile that was almost shy. ‘You can look at me however long you like. I don’t mind it. Good-bye, And Khai.’”
“The gelato shop dropped away. The people disappeared. In that moment, it was just her and Michael, the taste of ice cream, and their slowly warming lips.”
I adored this book and giving it a resounding 5 stars. Read all about it in my full review here.
“That was what they were. They were lovers. She liked the sound of that, quite a lot.”
New review up of Love and Other Words! This book brought out a rollercoaster of emotions and I loved every minute. Read more here.
