Margaret Delamere is a well known playwright and Cameron, Viscount Marwood is a big fan of the theater. I loved how Cam was enchanted by Maggie and extremely supportive about her life’s passion. To see a man so enthralled with a woman for her skill and talent was very special.
This feminist take on an old-school romance trope features Seraphina, a woman outcast by society who loves to indulge in sex and alcohol. Her personality was a bit too toxic for me to fall in love but the writing was wonderful and the sex was hot.

I loved this book, for its extremely intelligent heroine, the attention to historical detail and the impeccable writing. If you have even a passing appreciation for historical romance, you have to read this book!
